Installing of the Call Of Duty Black Ops

ok, i got my black ops and... 1st:Did anyone else have to install it with Steam? is that normal?
2nd: It is taking me 5 HOURS!!!!! is that normal??? i hope so...

Its amazing I love it went to midnight release and picked it up its just all the games I got in were all choppy and really laggy and never finished a game because I would just disconnect then this morning i was able to play just fine for 10 minutes then the servers went down for maintenance and I had to go to school =( so i cant wait till I get home to play again! yet again another launch fail by steam =/

yeah its normal....steam did that for mw2 as well its because servers are VAC secured

ok, here is the story:

I get the cd, put it in, press setup.exe(with a steam icon) and first i install steam, and then the installization for black ops begins... It took me from 5:30 pm To 04:15 am Then, i go to steam, click singleplayer and then switch to Multyplayer... I choose a server and when i click it it starts loading(that white thingy) and when it's at 1/3 it throws me out of the game and a Black Ops Conole appears and another window called: Out Of Memory Error. I close both. I do the same thing 2 times more and the same happens, but when i took out the cd and tried again(go on server, 1/3 blablabla...) Then the screen just went Blank!! nothing worked, Control+Alt+Delete didn't work, Escape didn't work... So the only thing i could to then, is turn off the computer... Does anybody know what to do? please, help me... oh, and btw, i have all the things i need for this game(Video Card, Processor intel core 2 duo, enough disc space and RAM, windows xp...)

Dobim cd, ga potisnem v računalnik, pritisnem setup.exe (s ikono Steam) in najprej namestim Steam in nato se Inštalacija za Black Ops začne... Trajaloo je 30 minut, Potem sem šel na Steam, kliknil singleplayer in nato preklopil na Multyplayer ... Izberem server in ko sem ga kliknil, da se začne nalaganje (Bel trak) in ko je naložena približno ena tretjina, me vrže iz igre in se pojavi Call Of Duty: Black Ops Console in drugo okno imenovano: Out Of Memory error. Zaprem oba. Naredim isto stvar 2-krat več in isto se zgodi, ko pa sem vzel ven cd in spet poskusil (iti na server, ena tretjina blablabla ...) Potem je zaslon postal črn! nič ni delalo, Control + Alt + Delete ni delal, Escape ni delal ... Torej, edina stvar, ki sem jo lahko naredil je, da sem izklopil računalnik ... Ali mogoče veste, kaj naj naredim? In Mimogrede, imam vse, kar rabim za to igro (grafična kartica, procesor Intel Core 2 Duo, dovolj prostora na disku in RAM, Windows XP ...)

hey man,

black ops was release like 3 days ago, you are expected to get errors.

google it, steam is patching allot of things right now.
So give them some time.
And i can't help you with your problem.. i am sorry
